EVE Energy Participated New Energy Public Transportation Expo, Supporting Green and Smart Mobility

Aug 02,2024

From July 24 to 26, EVE Energy accepted an invitation to participate in the first Guangzhou International Expo on New Energy and Digital Technologies for Public Transportation in Guangzhou, exploring new energy transit in the future with over 1000 experts from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, international institutions, and the industry.

During the expo, as one of the ecological chain enterprises of new energy transportation, EVE Energy, represented by Vice President Li Mufen, signed a cooperation memorandum with China Urban Public Transport Association and Guangzhou Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. The memorandum aims to establish a harmonious and open framework for promoting deep cooperation in technological innovation, business model innovation, and policy research, accelerating the upgrading of the public transport industry.

In the themed forum of the expo, Dr. Huang Hongliang, General Manager of the Domestic Marketing Center in EVE Energy, presented a speech titled ‘EVE Energy Supports Green Development and Smart Transportation’. He pointed out that new energy buses have played a key role in the growth of the new energy commercial vehicle market share which is expected to increase from 1.6% in 2015 to 14.3% by 2024. Due to technological innovations in batteries and battery systems of new energy buses, their development not only contributes to the market share of new energy commercial vehicles but also promotes innovation in new energy logistics vehicles.

Further, Dr. Huang analyzed the bus market trend in depth. First, battery replacement from electric vehicles will be the norm. To alleviate financial stress from local governments, bus batteries may be utilized in a cascading method after 8 to 10 years of use, and the buses could then operate for more than 5 years or even longer. Besides, the market penetration rate of buses that are 7 to 10 meters in length will gradually increase, with low-floor and low-entry buses becoming mainstream due to the growing aging population and the demand for barrier-free access. Moreover, as fast-charging technology and energy density improve, bus operational efficiency will be enhanced, leading to further innovation in bus application models.
